Years and years ago my best friend Shanna was on a plane and struck up conversation with a stranger next to her, and somehow it turned to the fact that they both share a love of dangly earrings…

My friend told the woman that she hated the fact that they get all tangled up in the jewelry box, and many times you only wear the same pairs over and over because you can’t be bothered searching for them.

The woman said she had a solution, just use a plain old cork-board and tacks, and hang up your earrings on that…

Soon after that trip, I stole this idea and LOVED it – I found it made getting ready in the morning so much easier, because I am a visual person and loved having all of my earrings out to see! I also modified it to include a row of tacks at the bottom for my necklaces.  Every time someone comes to my house and gets the “grand tour” they stop and can’t believe how neat of an idea it is…that old cork-board is the originator of this new type of Jewelry Display.

One day I thought, wouldn’t it be cool to have something to keep your jewelry organized but also looks beautiful and unique too? From that idea I created my first few designs, and Artfully Organized Jewelry Displays was born.
